Ontario Mountain View Little League program is 100% volunteer based and we need managers, coaches, team parents, and board members.
Dear Members of Ontario Mountain View Little League,
Ontario Mountain View Little League’s Board of Directors work extremely hard to ensure that our league operates at a high-level. As parents, we all want to give our kids the very best we can within reason and within what we can control.
OMV has a Safety Plan that is required to be on file with Little League each year. The Safety Plan explains what measures have or will be taken to ensure player safety on multiple levels while each child participates in Little League activities.
One of the most critical safety measures we must implement are background checks. SADLY, there are far too many reasons and horrible examples to share to justify why this is needed. Nonetheless, every league has the requirement and legal obligation to perform this function.
OMV is PROUD to take this requirement a step further to ensure transparency and accountability. Every parent can visibly obtain a reasonable level of comfort that the league has vetted-out adults with violent/criminal backgrounds as well those that have been convicted of sexual offenses. Those people MUST NOT be around children and we as the custodians of the league, must all do our part to verify this to the full extent of our capabilities.
HELP PROTECT INNOCENCE. A few extra minutes to fill out the online form or take a picture, tells all those around you that you are part of those who care enough about ALL of these children’s safety and well-being. We understand this can be a bit cumbersome. On the next page, you will find a set of frequently asked questions. We hope this provides further clarity.
